Piano Program

At GBA, Piano classes are taught in accordance to the Royal Conservatory of Music Syllabus, or based on student’s music interests.

The RCM Certificate Program curriculum begins with the Preparatory Level(s), followed by Levels 1 through 10 and concludes with the Associate Diploma of The Royal Conservatory of Music (ARCT). A Licentiate Diploma of The Royal Conservatory of Music (LRCM) is available for piano. At each level, a Certificate of Achievement can be earned by successfully completing a Royal Conservatory practical examination.

Not only does the curriculum teach the essential elements of musical training but it also encourages students’ enthusiasm for music, empowers artistic expression and celebrates achievements.

The certificate program focuses mainly on classical music, though opportunities to play jazz, folk and popular music are included within the program’s framework. RCM’s classical training provides the strongest possible foundation upon which to continue a student’s musical journey.

My name is Selina and I am in Piano Level 7. I have studied all of my music theory lessons at Go Beyond Academy. I can say that theory can be a very boring class at times, but I've always enjoyed it here at Go Beyond. I also got a chance to do like 20 exams before I did the actual exam. I'm not exaggerating here! That's how serious the teacher prepared me. Now I can use the mark as my high school credit!

I'm Jolynna V. and I am 8 years old. I have studied piano at Go Beyond for 1 year. I have not learned the piano for a long time and I am already level 2. I couldn't give all the credit to myself because the teacher helps me so much. Thank you Ms. Gao.
